Encourage your employees to check their beneficiary status through Fidelity’s My Savings Plan. Two out of three GE Appliances’ (GEA) employees haven’t named a beneficiary in their Fidelity account.
To designate a beneficiary, employees must log in to the Fidelity tool since it does not default to other GEA benefit designees. Some key information to have on hand when designating a beneficiary is the designee’s SSN, date of birth and home address. To check and/or change your “My Savings Plan” beneficiary status, visit Fidelity at netbenefits.com, log in and select profile, then select beneficiaries, or call 1-800-835-5095.
