GEA Captures Platinum And Gold In Prestigious Health Awards
Third year for platinum recognition in Worksite Wellness Council of Louisville awards and second year for gold recognition from American Heart Association.
The Worksite Wellness Council of Louisville and the American Heart Association notified GEA of our recognition status in October. In both programs, GEA received the top award. “These awards demonstrate our business’ continued commitment to our employees as well as our organizational approach to health and wellbeing,” says Alina Wehby, Health Services Operations Senior Manager.
About the PLATINUM Worksite Wellness Council Award

- weight management: Dietitians available to employees
- prediabetes and diabetes: Virta Health Diabetes Reversal Program pilot

About the GOLD American Heart Association Award
The American Heart Association has defined best practices for employers to use to build a culture of health for their employees in the workplace. The American Heart Association’s Workplace Health Achievement Index measures the extent to which the company has implemented those workplace health best practices. At GEA, these cultural indicators include engagement on Yammer, a GEA-specific website tailored for employees and their families and local site leaders who activate workplace health every day.
“We especially want to thank the WellWithin site leaders and the health champions for helping to bring these programs and resources to life for employees across our global business,” says Alina.
